Arvum Heavy Metal Testing
Heavy Metal Screening
We test for toxic heavy metals Arsenic, Mercury, Cadmium and Lead that produce toxic effects on plants, such as low biomass accumulation, chlorosis, inhibition of growth and photosynthesis, altered water balance and nutrient assimilation which ultimately cause plant death.
This test measures trace metals down to ppb. Many states have strict action limits; early detection prevents destroying finished product.
When Should I Do A Heavy Metal Test?
Growers should consider Heavy Metal testing:
- Before first harvest in a new facility
- Quarterly on mother tissue if using well water or outdoor inputs
Heavy Metal Test Example
- Finding: Lead at 0.25 ppm in finished flower (state limit 0.5 ppm) but 8 ppm in soil.
- Action: Switch to fabric pots with fresh media, install sediment pre‑filter, and run weekly runoff tests to track improvement.
What To Expect: We will ship the appropriate sample holder and accompanying instructions, along with a prepaid return label, if requested, for sending it back to our facility. Test results will be available within 2 to 3 business days after which one of our Cultivation Advisors will contact you to discuss the next steps.
