A run-off analysis helps to measure any imbalances of EC/pH in the medium. This can directly affect the root zone environment and their ability to uptake nutrients.
This test helps measure pH, EC, and key ions in leachate vs feed. This shows whether plants eat what you feed or salt accumulates. Great for coco, rockwool, soil.
When should I do a Run-Off Test?
Growers should consider Run-Off testing:
- Weekly for spot checks in heavy‑feeding stages
- After any flush or recipe change
Run-Off Test Example
- Finding: Runoff EC 3.2 mS/cm while feed is 2.0.
- Action: Perform 1.5 × feed‑volume flush with half‑strength mix, resume normal fertigation once runoff
What To Expect: We will ship the appropriate sample holder and accompanying instructions, along with a prepaid return label, if requested, for sending it back to our facility. Test results will be available within 2 to 3 business days after which one of our Cultivation Advisors will contact you to discuss the next steps.
